DEPARTMENT OF VOTER REGISTRATION AND ELECTIONS TO HOST OPEN HOUSE
Public invited to learn about new voting system

The Sacramento County Department of Voter Registration and Elections announced that it will host an open house on Monday, March 5 where Sacramento County residents are invited to learn about the available voting options and experience the new voting system technology that will be implemented with the June 2018 Primary Election.

“With the passage of the California Voter’s Choice Act, all registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail and Vote Centers will be offered in place of traditional polling places,” said Sacramento County Registrar of Voters, Jill LaVine. “We wanted to take this opportunity to educate members of the community on the upcoming changes so they are prepared in advance of the election.”
