Who can become a Permanent Vote-by-Mail (Permanent Absentee) Voter:
- Any registered voter has the right to apply for Permanent Vote-by-Mail (Permanent Absentee) voter status.
- A voter whose name appears on the Permanent Vote-by-Mail (Permanent Absentee) voter list shall remain on the list and shall be mailed a Vote-by-Mail (Absentee) ballot for each election conducted within his or her precinct.
Removal from Permanent Absentee List:
- If the voter fails to return an executed absent voter ballot in two (2) consecutive statewide General elections, the voter's name shall be deleted from the list.
- Failure to return a ballot in two consecutive statewide General Elections will automatically remove you from the Permanent Vote-by-Mail (Permanent Absentee)Voters List. Be advised, this will not cancel your affidavit or registration but you will need to reapply for the Permanent Vote-by-Mail (Permanent Absentee) voter status.
