Military Voters or Citizens Residing Temporarily Outside of the United States

Voters qualifying to vote under these provisions are:
- A member of the armed forces of the United States or any auxiliary branch thereof.
- A citizen of the United States temporarily living outside the territorial limits of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- A citizen serving on a merchant vessel documented under the laws of the United States.
- A spouse or dependent of a member of the armed forces or any auxiliary branch thereof.
- In order to register, and then request an absentee ballot, an eligible United States citizen must carefully and accurately, complete a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).
- The FPCA forms are available at any Registrar of Voters office, with the Voting Assistance Officer of any military base or at any American Consulate office. The form must be received by the Registrar of Voters office no later than 15 days prior to an election.
- An absentee ballot and a list of candidates will be mailed to you upon receipt of your valid registration.
