We encourage everyone to exercise their freedom and offer a number of voter outreach programs to increase voter participation among Sacramento County residents.
Outreach Programs and Other Information:
- Empowering an Enriched Community - Black Exposition '07 drew nearly 51,000 visitors from throughout Northern California. Visitors to the Sacramento County Election Booth were given information on registering to vote and hands-on demonstrations of voting with the County's new voting equipment.
- Get Up-Stand Up-Vote - This program's goals are to promote and encourage young adults to vote. High school students throughout Sacramento County learn how to register to vote, train to work the polls and held a mock election.
- New Citizenship - Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections has partnered with Sacramento Unified School District Adult Education Program to promote the electoral process and voting to students studying to become new citizens.
