Voting in Person at a Vote Center Before Election Day

Registered voters of Sacramento County may vote at the Voter Registration and Elections Office beginning 29 days before every election. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. Our office is open until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.​

You may also vote at a Vote Center beginning 10 days before Election Day.

What to Expect at a Vote Center​​

You may:

  • Request a replacement ballot (i.e. if you lost or destroyed your first ballot)
  • Vote your ballot
  • Or take your ballot with you

How to Return Your Ballot​​​

You may return your Vote by Mail ballot:

  • In the mail (remember to use the proper postage)
  • At the Elections Office or in the 24 hour Vote by Mail Drive-thru Ballot Drop Box, at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento, 95823
  • At any Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Box location 29 days before and up through Election Day
  • At any Vote Center 4 or 10 days before and through Election Night until 8:00 p.m.
